I've been working on him quite a lot since I wrote that post. Modelling is finished, texturing is nearly finished (need to mess with the skin a bit more) and the hair will be created soon.
First off, I should add that I did a bit more 'concept art.' I found out I had to add a front perspective and I also tried to fix the side perspective. Whatever I do I just can't get it to stop looking like a Tin Tin character though.
